In the heart of Sicily, between the solidity of matter and the shifting quality of Mediterranean light, Casa Luce e Materia takes shape: a residential project by Mine Architettura. A space where structure and light shape each other, continuously revealing new perceptual depths.
Natural materials, stone surfaces and warm woods alternate across rooms that balance formal rigour with domestic warmth, where every element contributes to a precise and recognisable identity. The bespoke wooden staircase is a telling example: the solid rhythm of its steps appears almost suspended, lightened by the transparency of the glass and the dialogue with the decorative surfaces behind, as the eye is gently drawn toward the walk-in wardrobe.

In the bedroom, the design language becomes more intimate and contemplative. Here, at the centre of a refined composition, Carnaby emerges: a contemporary and balanced synthesis of forms and materials.
The bed, designed by Studio Balutto e Associati for Twils, is framed by a curved wall of enveloping geometry, conceived as an architectural backdrop that embraces the space and guides the eye toward rest, as light flows along soft profiles tracing a diffuse, almost invisible luminosity that amplifies the perception of depth and lightness.
A rarefied and silent atmosphere, where neutral materials, textile surfaces and indirect lighting build a sophisticated balance between comfort and beauty. And where Twils, once again, finds its place with absolute naturalness.
